As a researcher, part of my job is to listen to people and take their perspectives seriously. This is always particularly fascinating when it comes to our clients. You quickly learn that good products can only be created when diverse experiences and viewpoints are incorporated. This applies to software just as much as it does to teams. That’s why it’s important to me to advocate for inclusion and an open, equitable environment both at work and in my personal life. FAQ
When can I expect to hear back from you?
Speed in the application process is one of our defined goals. You will receive confirmation of receipt on the same day. You will be informed as soon as possible whether you will be invited to an initial exchange. In times of an increased number of applicants, it may exceptionally take a little longer to get back to you. But we won't forget you in any case!
I have not received any feedback for some time. Why is that?
Nobody's perfect. Even with us, things can sometimes be delayed due to internal processes. We always strive to be quick and transparent in our communication with you. At times when we have a large number of vacancies, it may take a little longer to get back to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Is there a dress code for job interviews?
Definitely not - whether online or on site: Come as you are.
What can I do if I haven't found the right job for me on the careers page?
If you haven't found a suitable position on our careers page, don't worry! We regularly update our vacancies, and it could be that the perfect position for you becomes available soon. So feel free to send us your speculative application here. We're always on the lookout for talented people like you and would love to hear how you could enrich our team.
What happens to my data after an application?
Data protection is a very important issue for us. Your documents will be automatically deleted from our tool after 100 days at the latest. If you would like your documents to be deleted earlier, please contact us.
What is your policy regarding working from home/mobile working?
Our hybrid work model, “Hybrid by HERO,” gives you the greatest possible flexibility to organize your daily work schedule as you see fit. You can also work remotely from anywhere—even from another EU country for up to 6 months a year. However, since face-to-face interaction is also very important to us, you should be generally willing to stop by one of our modern offices (Berlin or Hanover) from time to time. How often this will be varies from position to position and will be discussed again during our initial conversation.
How does my onboarding at HERO work?
For onboarding, we usually invite you to our office in Hanover.
On your first day, you’ll learn more about HERO’s exciting story and how you can take advantage of our many benefits. We’ll get you up and running with your equipment and an introduction to the most important tools. You can also look forward to lunch together and a quick photo shoot in HERO merchandise.
In addition, your personal S*HERO buddy will create a customized onboarding plan for you, which starts on Day 2 and ensures that you’ll feel right at home in your new role.
If you’re unable to be on-site during your first few days, we’ll conduct the onboarding remotely. Of course, we’ll make up for the photo shoot the next time you’re in Hannover :)
