About HERO

Our vision is to expand our existing platform with further useful integrations and cooperation partners. This will make it much easier for the skilled trades sector to overcome all future challenges, such as the shortage of skilled workers, increasing bureaucracy and others. In the near future, we also want to expand in other markets, as it is obvious that there will be a high demand for HERO’s offer.

The founders of HERO originally launched a start-up called energieheld (literally translated as "Energy HERO") in 2013, which was also dedicated to improving the entire process of project management and contracting in the home renovation sector. The idea was simple: if we can offer homeowners a more streamlined process when searching for tradespeople, then the amount of annual energy savings will increase. With this vision in mind, energieheld became the largest online platform for home renovations in Germany. Along the way, however, it became very clear that the real bottleneck was often in the contractor's business management: missed calls, important project details written down on scraps of paper, incorrect scheduling made it difficult to speed up and increase the number of renovation projects.

At this point, the founders decided to pivot and focus on developing the best could software for the trades industry. Backed by a great, already existing team and the general infrastructure, HERO was founded in 2020. Within only four years HERO has become the leading cloud platform for professionals of all trades until today.
